It’s no secret, we eat with our eyes first. That’s why we stare at other tables if we can’t decide what to order at a restaurant. Plating like a pro should be one of every home chef’s New Year’s resolutions.
If you are trying to lose weight, you have to re-train your brain (and stomach) to accept smaller portion sizes. This is one of the biggest challenges when starting on a weight loss journey. It can take a few weeks to re-train the brain (see “clean eating”).
When you take an extra minute to plate your meal in a way that makes it look like an amazing dish you would get at a Michelin-rated restaurant, your brain will be excited for that meal – trust us, try it!
